Universal Common Ancestors is a moving image stained glass window. It consists of abstract animation projection mapped into the empty frames of a found arched window. Reminiscent of stained glass windows seen in churches the subject of this new media stained glass is science based. Inspired by the theory of LUCA (Last Universal Common Ancestor) which proposes that if we trace the tree of life billions of years back we would see that we are all related to the same little microbe. It is intended as a contemplative object that in this divisive time suggests that we are more alike than we are different.
